Swedish, Relaxation Massage
A relaxing full body massage of traditional long strokes and kneading techniques. The soothing touch allows the mind and body to feel rejuvenated while increasing circulation, range of motion and improving skin and muscle tone.
Deep Tissue Massage & Trigger Point (neuromuscular) Therapy
This therapeutic bodywork addresses specific muscle groups and trigger points to release spasms, decrease or eliminate pain patterns, help correct posture and restore range of motion. Can be focused on injuries, painful areas or incorporated with a full body massage.
Hot Stone Massage*
Heated basalt stones are applied to the body creating deep relaxation. This style of massage has been practiced by native healers from many cultures to create a deeply relaxing experience leaving you feeling grounded, relaxed and happy. Best suited to a full or 1-1/2 hour session. *Additional fee of $10.00 due to additional time required for set up and clean up.
Hydrotherapy
Hydrotherapy, or water therapy, is the use of water (hot, cold, steam, or ice) to relieve discomfort and promote physical well-being.
Moist compresses. Cold, moist compresses can reduce swelling and inflammation of an injury. Hot or warm compresses are useful for soothing muscle aches and treating abscesses.
Relaxation/ Stress Reduction
Incorporates breathing techniques and other self-care to assist the client in achieving and maintaining a state of relaxation and stress reduction.
Proprioneuromuscular Facillitation (PNF)
Voluntary contraction of the client's muscles in a specific and controlled direction, at varying levels of intensity, against a specific counterforce applied by the massage practitioner. The amount of effort and duration vary. All muscle contractions are gradual and no jerking is done in the movement.
Therapeutic massage and pain relief
The client's health history, work environment, hobbies, activity level and general health status are included in the clinical analysis to develop and implement a treatment plan based on measurable outcomes, appropriate referrals and application of various massage techniques
